Travel Guide
Onuma Quasi-National Park contains a trio of lakes beneath Mt. Komagatake, the volcano that formed the lakes when it erupted. There are several camping grounds on the shores of the lakes, as well as a network of hiking trails. The main lakes, Lake Onuma and Lake Konuma, meaning “big” lake and “little” lake repectively, are really one big lake separated by a road and rail bridge. There are 126 islands in the lake and they are connected by 18 bridges.
