Aomori Museum of Art

Information

Aomori Museum of Art was established in harmony with Sannai Maruyama, as it sits adjacent to the Jomon Period historical site, and its distinctive white structure was imagined by architect, Jun Aoki. The permanent exhibition at the Aomori Museum of Art has a rich collection of artworks created by the artist from Aomori, and the works by Yoshitomo Nara, a world-famous artist from Aomori Prefecture, are especially popular. In addition to the huge symbolic art object “Aomori ken (Aomori dog)”, visitors can see all the steps of him at this museum.
