Asama Onsen Hot Spring

Information
With over 1,000 years of history, the Asama Onsen hot spring area has traditionally been a place of relaxation in Matsumoto. Successive lords of Matsumoto Castle loved this hot spring, and during the Edo Period (1603 - 1868), a palatial bath was built for use by those lords. Even nowadays, one can enjoy the same "Biwa-no-Yu" hot spring here. A dip in any of these traditional baths will surely relax and satisfy you as they did the lords of ancient times.
