Information
Chokoku-ji Temple, with the striking Orca ornaments and Rokumonsen emblem that adorns its roof, is the Sanada family temple. Rokumonsen is six coins for the dead to pay for crossing the Sanzu-no-kawa River to go to the afterworld in Buddhist mythology. It is the Sanada family's emblem and tradition has it that the emblem came into use after Sanada Yukitaka used the image of Rokumonsen on his banner.
