Happo-en Garden

Information

Happo-en Garden is a venerable Japanese garden of roughly 33,000 square meters, boasting a history of about 300 years. The place was originally a Samurai's residence in the Edo Period (1603 - 1868), and most of the current buildings and garden were once a residence of Fusanosuke Kuhara, a powerful businessman and politician before becoming open to the public as a Ryotei restaurant "Happo-en" in 1950. Today, the garden is complete with a Japanese style restaurant, Western style restaurant, wedding hall, and more. Visitors can also experience Japanese tea ceremony.
