Ikegami-Baien Park is located right next to Ikegami Honmon-ji Temple. There used to be a home and art studio of traditional Japanese painter Shinsui Ito. The local government transformed this area into a plum tree park in 1978. There are 30 species of trees including 150 white plum trees, 220 red plum trees, and 800 azaleas in the quiet park. The best season to see the plum blossoms is from mid-February to early-March.
