Inokashira Park Zoo

Information

Inokashira Park Zoo is a historic zoo opened in 1942. The zoo keeps 200 species of animals, such as Asian elephants, rhesus monkeys, raccoons, fennecs, and Japanese serows. Japanese freshwater fish and insects are exhibited in the Aquatic Life House, and tropical birds in the large green house.
The zoo also has a small amusement park for kids and a gallery of Seibo Kitamura, a Japanese sculptor who created the Peace Statue in Nagasaki Peace Park.
