Jogashima Park

Information

The natural island of the southern tip of the Miura Penisula, known as a scenic spot since the Kamakura Era (1185 - 1333), has been celebrated in a popular Japanese song. The sea snake cave and other beautiful natural rock formations, formed by erosion caused by the ocean waves are sure to draw your attention. Jogashima Park which spreads along the eastern side of the island features an observation platform and picnic grounds, allowing visitors to relax among the natural scenery. From this park, you can enjoy a magnificent view of both sunrise and sunset as well as Mt. Fuji over the Pacific.

30 minutes from Misakiguchi Station on the Keikyu Kurihama Line (KK72) by the bus bound for Jogashima. Get off at Hakushuhi-mae Bus stop.
