InformationInformation

Respected by successive feudal lords, Karatsu-jinja Shrine has been spiritually supported by Karatsu’s townsfolk since its establishment in the Nara Period (710 - 794). The shrine is crowded with people watching Karatsu Kunichi Festival held from November 2nd to 4th every year. The festivel's huge Hikiyama floats running around the shrine have a tremendous impact.
