Kusasenri-ga-Hama

Information
You will be amazed by the vast Kusasenri-ga-Hama (785,000 square meters), where a broad swathe of grassland spreads out widely at the foot of spectacular Mt. Aso, lies in the remains of a huge crater one kilometer in diameter. The ponds here are said to have been created by rainwater. This landscape is also lovely in winter with a silvery, sparkling beauty. Access to Kusasenri-ga-Hama is not restricted in any way, so you can enjoy picnicking or horse riding here. The panoramic view of the five peaks of Aso seen from atop a horse is truly stunning. Horse riding is even enjoyable for beginners, as the horses are expertly led by guides.
