Travel Guide - Mairai-ji Temple

This temple is also known as “Hanga-dera”(Woodbolock print temple) because of the woodblock prints, including Fusuma paintings and hanging scrolls, displayed throughout the temple. All are works by the temple’s chief priest, whose skills are so famous his works have been shown in on-man exhibits in Japan, New York, and elsewhere overseas.
