Murodani Tanada Rice Terraces

Information
In 1976, Murodani in Misumi town had the largest number of rice terraces in Japan, numbering over 4,500. Over 1,000 of these terraces remain today and are still used to cultivete delicious rise. Murodani Tanada Festival is held here in October every year and you can eat the rice in the festival. The rice terraces provide a picturesque view with the Sea of Japan behind. Murodani Tanada is listed as one of the best 100 rice terrace areas in Japan.
