Nanki-Yukawa Onsen Hot Spring

Information

Nanki-Yukawa Onsen Hot Spring was found near Lake Yukashi-Gata, between Nanki-Katsuura Onsen Hot Spring and Taiji. The hot spring has 1,400 years of history and it was originally used as a place for healing and purifying pilgrims before visiting Kumano. Compared to Katsuura Onsen, Yukawa Onsen is more focused on health and therapy, and there are homely small Ryokan inns and public baths in the quiet resort. Soaking in Yukawa Onsen is thought to relieve female ailments and rheumatism, while drinking the hot spring water will alleviate gastro-intestinal problems and diabetes. So take some time for a luxurious soak against a backdrop of unspoiled nature.
