Sekisho Art Museum was opened in 2001 after Tadashi Ishimoto, a native of Misumi-cho town in Hamada City, donated his artworks to the local government. The building of the museum was built in an image of a small village church seen in Italy. The museum houses and displays a large collection of Ishimoto's works as well as the works of other painters appreciated by him.
