Showa-no-Kurashi Museum (Museum of Life in the Showa Era)

Showa-no-Kurashi Museum (Museum of Life in the Showa Era)

InformationInformation

The wooden house built in 1951 had been actually used by an ordinary family until 1996 before it was turned into a museum in 1999. In the museum, visitors can learn the lifestyle of ordinary Tokyo citizens in the Showa Era (1926 - 1989). The typical Japanese house and its interior are kept as they were, so you might feel as if you are visiting not a museum but a someone's house.
