Travel Guide - Tanden-an Temple (Rakugaki-dera)

InformationInformation

Tanden-an Temple was established in the Edo Period (1603 - 1868). The temple is also called "Rakugaki-dera (graffiti temple)" because you can freely write your wish on the white wall of Daikoku-do Hall so that the god can clearly see your wish. The temple allowed people to do that because the hall was built by donations. The wall is cleaned up at the end of each year.
