Travel Guide - Fukushima Museum


Fukushima Museum stands in the northeast of Tsurugajo Castle.

The museum displays many historical materials and cultural legacies related to Fukushima from ancient times to the present day, including the iron swords and bronze mirrors unearthed from Aizu-Otsukayama-kofun Tumulus.

Visitors can try wearing the traditional clothing and playing with the folk toys in the museum.

Opening Hours

  • 9:30 - 17:00 *admission until 30 minutes before closing

  • The following day of national holidays (except Saturday and Sunday)
  • December 28 - January 4

  • 23 minutes from JR Aizu-Wakamatsu Station by Haikara-san bus.Get off at Turugajo-sannomaruguchi Bus stop.
