Ishii Chawan Museum holds 130 of antique Chawan bowls including Korai Chawan (bowls made in Korea), Seto Chawan (bowls made in Aichi), Imari Chawan (bowls made in Saga), and the masterpieces created by the famous artists such as Saka Koraizaemon and Miwa Kyusetsu.
The exhibits used to be the collection of a famous Chawan collector, Ishii Kigensai.
He spent 50 years to collect them.
