Mimata Onsen Hot Spring is a quiet hot spring district located along the Kakoya-gawa river.
The hot spring with over 100 years of history was discovered in the late Edo Period (1603 - 1868), and a sanatorium was established during the Russo-Japanese War.

The hot spring water is alkaline (pH 9.8) and is good for your skin.
Even if you were to enter the hot spring here blindfolded, you would instantly recognize the hot spring water smooth and gentle on the skin as those of Mimata Onsen.
