Shiodome SIO-SITE was constructed under the redevelopment project of the land between Shinbashi and Hamamatsucho which was once owned by the former Japan National Railways.

The spot has many attractions, such as "Caretta Shiodome", a complex facility with restaurants, shops, entertainment parlors and art galleries, a TV broadcaster NTV's "Nittere Tower" with its original goods shop, in addition to a Roman road-style Italian sector, hotels and parks.
