Suitengu Shrine

Travel Guide - Suitengu Shrine

Information

Also known as "Merciful Arima Suitengu", Suitengu Shrine is noted for its divine graces such as the safe delivery of children, pregnancy and avoidance from flood damage.
The deities were enshrined as guardians in Kurume, Fukuoka, but were later worshipped separately during the Edo era (1603 – 1868).
In addition to the shrine, visitors can enjoy the "Tour of the Nihonbashi Seven Deities of Good Luck".
