The building of Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum used to be a house and art studio of the renowned artist, where he had been painting, writing and working on the ideas of his carvings including huge monuments and wall paintings, such as the famous "Tower of the Sun" for the World Expo'70 at Osaka for 50 years until he died at the age of 84 in 1996.
Today, the building is open to the public and displays his art works and belongings.
Exhibitions are renewed every 4 months, and various events are also held.
