Information

The museum displays Japanese and foreign collection of modern art.
The museum, which was originally built in Expo ’70 Commemoration Park, Osaka in 1977, was relocated to the present site at Nakanoshima in 2004 and a completely new building was constructed to expand its collection.

The exterior of the new building expresses the vitality of bamboo and development of modern art.

  • 10:00 - 17:00
  • 10:00 - 19:00 (Friday)

Closed

  • Mondays (or the following day when it falls on a national holiday)
  • December 28 - January 4

Access / Public Transport

  • 10 minutes walk from Higobashi Station on the Osaka Municipal Subway Yotsubashi Line (Y12)
