Yumi-ike Pond

Travel Guide - Yumi-ike Pond

Yumi-ike Pond is one of the crater lakes and ponds located on Mt. Kusatsu Shirane-yama.
The pond is almost a perfect circle with a circumference of about 800 meters and you can walk around in 20 minutes.
In contrast to Yugama, the pond shore is an oasis of color which changes with the season - in the summer cotton grass can be seen in a wetland, and in the winter you can observe the changing color of the leaves on Nanakamado trees.
